Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Education

Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Education

The Warnborough College BA in Education is an example of practising what we preach: it is flexible, and can be moulded around  settings, disciplines and learners.  Everyone has to begin somewhere, and the people who are there with us at the beginning have the ability to turn us into thought and action leaders, or to turn us off. While parents teach their children a lot of things, it is with teachers in a more formal setting who spend time with our children. Therefore, they have a much larger role in shaping the minds and actions of our youth.

Of course, education is not merely limited to schools, as there is much learning which can be done outside of a formal school setting. We are now in a knowledge economy, and continual learning is encouraged in all aspects of life and work. Lifelong learning is a mantra chanted by education ministers around the world but how can we reconcile all of this with practice?

This programme is ideal for individuals who have been working for some time in the education industry but not had the opportunity to complete or obtain a formal qualification. Through an APEL framework and top up mechanisms, we can provide top ups and upgrades to knowledge sets and ensure that learning outcomes are achieved. This programme is NOT ideal or suitable for candidates who are fresh out of high school.
The Warnborough College Bachelor of Arts in Education programme requires the completion of 240 ECTS credits. The BA has three key structural elements:

  1. Successive build up – from foundation studies to specialisation to qualification
  2. Intertwining theory and practice-based experiences while developing aspects of practice-based research.
  3. Combining academic education with personal and professional development.
