Warnborough College Ireland VP, Dr Julian Ng, was a keynote speaker during the European Training Foundation (ETF) Network of Excellence (ENE) conference held from 11-12 March, 2021.
The theme of the event was “Centres of Vocational Excellence as engines for vocational education and training development”. The conference was emceed by Daria Santucci and featured many well-known speakers including Joao Santos (head of the ERASMUS+ programme), Luis de la Torre (UNED), Christian Matti (EIT Climate) and Ana Ramos (HUMANA).
ENE is unique in being an international network of Vocational Centres of Excellence (CoVEs)in the EU neighbourhood1. It has 144 CoVEs registered covering 8 EU countries, 15 ETF partner countries and 6 African countries. Warnborough is part of this network.
Dr Julian spoke during the session entitled “Connecting the dots: The role of International Networks and Platforms”, which was moderated by Georgios Zisimos. He spoke about the importance of networks and partnerships in extending reach and influence, pooling knowledge and resources, and having more mobility in initiatives.
Warnborough College is fully-committed to the ENE concept and will continue participating in future ETF activities.
