WCI is pleased to have hosted the second transnational project meeting (TPM) for the INCLUSION2 project at the Capel Building in our home city of Dublin from 3 to 5 October, 2022.
INCLUSION2 is an Erasmus+ project funded by the European Union, and is focused on the creative co-creation of knowledge within professional learning communities to develop curricula for an inclusive and sustainable school environment. The project is led by long-time Warnborough partner, the Mater Boni Consilii St Joseph School in Malta. Other partners include DHOS Brugge (an educational authority in Belgium) and Aeres University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands).
A Frame of Thinking
A key deliverable is a Frame of Thinking (FoT) which provides the parameters on forming a professional learning community of teachers who can actively and creatively co-build the knowledge necessary to design curricula for schools that are inclusive and sustainable. This is being developed by Dr Frank de Jong and Marije Bent of Aeres University, together with WCI’s Dr Julian Ng.
Once the FoT is done, it can spearhead the development of the project’s other intellectual outputs such as the building blocks and professional learning courses to help teachers co-create the inclusive and sustainable curricula for their schools. All of these would then be housed under a Digital Learning Environment, developed by WCI.
Sightseeing and Cultural Activities
Apart from the hard work, WCI also ensured that participants experience a little bit of Irish hospitality – with a trip to the Temple Bar and a guided tour of the Guinness Storehouse to taste the famed ‘black stuff’.
The meeting was capped with a delicious dinner at the exclusive The Ivy Dublin restaurant. It is safe to say that everyone had a craic-ing good time!
