Key European partners of the new Erasmus+ funded project, DEVISE4KE, were hosted by Warnborough College on 11 December 2023 for an intensive pre-kickoff meeting to iron out important points for the project.

Vivian Harberts from the project lead, University of Bremen (Germany), and Iratxe Lejarreta from San José Maristak School in Durango (Spain) joined WCI CEO, Dr Julian Ng, and Development Officer, Olga Harrison, to discuss a sustainable way forward.

The project is an exciting one and WCI can’t wait to get started. It will focus on helping a rural area of Kenya to harvest solar energy in order to power schools and electronic devices. As it is a capacity-building project, the partners will help the schools to learn how to build and install their own solar panels, and then teach teachers and students digital skills so that they are better prepared for a digital future.
