Our Lady of Guadalupe

Former US Superior Court judge, Dr Linda Wilde, graduated with a PhD in Cultural Art History from Warnborough College Ireland in 2011.

Since then, she has been very successful and busy with her career in art. She has presented at the Canterbury Arts Conference (CArtsCon) twice.  Her art works have been exhibited around the world.

Recently, she received a commission to paint a life-size picture of Our Lady of Guadalupe smiling (instead of the traditional depiction of looking down). The painting will be installed in a chapel in the Philippines.

A Pieta, entitled “I am the Rose of Sharon and the Lily of the Valley” is another large format painting that was recently installed at the Mission San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo in California.

A third painting, A View from Bermuda Shores, can be seen at Masterworks Museum of Bermudian Art.

We are very proud of Dr Wilde and delighted for her success.

Check out our Fine Arts programme too.
